* There has been a huge jump in the number of coronavirus-related deaths in South Africa, with the country registering its biggest daily spike so far. The latest stats show that another 572 people have died, taking the death toll to 5-thousand-940.
* Most of the latest Covid-19 deaths were recorded in the Eastern Cape, where Health Minister Zweli Mkhize will wrap up a two-day tour of the Nelson Mandela Bay metro on Thursday. He’s expected to visit the Dora Nginza hospital and the coronavirus hotspot of Motherwell.
* Judgment in the case between King Buyelekhaya Dalindyebo and his son, former acting King Azenathi Dalindyebo, is expected to handed down in the Mthatha High Court in the Eastern Cape on Thursday.
