COVID-19 Lockdown | Retail sales fall by 12 percent in May

Not surprisingly the coronavirus has kept many away from the shops.
The latest data from Stats SA shows that retail sales for May fell by 12 percent on an annual basis. In April, at the height of lockdown restrictions sales plunged by a hefty 50.4 percent. Stats SA says the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown regulations have had a negative economic activity.
