One of the North West province’s key tourism hubs, the Hartbeespoort Dam, is slowly becoming a ghost town, with low activity, possible business shutdowns and job loses. This is according to business owners in the local tourism sector, who also held a peaceful protest in the area, to highlight their plight. They’ve called on government to allow the sector to operate at 100 percent, to save their businesses and livelihoods.
