Black journalist calls for change after investigation into use of N-word at The Fifth Estate

A former CBC employee is calling for changes at the public broadcaster after two colleagues used the N-word in an April 2019 meeting. CBC head of public affairs Chuck Thompson confirmed an investigation was launched and ‘corrective actions’ were taken but would not elaborate, citing confidentiality agreements.
